Liz and her husband chose to call Quincy home because of the diversity of the community. Liz will work to make sure that diversity is paired with equity and inclusion throughout the school district. She believes that representation and communication matter, and are key ways Quincy Public Schools can foster connections with families and a sense of belonging.
Belonging is the feeling of fitting in, and feeling like you are an important member of a group. A sense of belonging is especially important for children as they develop their identity and figure out where and how they fit into the world. In order to learn and succeed in school students need to feel safe, valued, and know they belong.

Liz is excited to be part of how our community envisions the future of Quincy Public Schools! Serving on the Quincy School Committee would be a continuation of her life's work and her commitment to an equitable and inclusive school system for all families.
